Tools to Support You and Your Students

Whether you’re looking for a quick vocabulary game, an idea for your next session, or a place to refer a student who needs more support than tutoring alone can offer, this page brings together the resources our tutors turn to most.

New Tutor Training – Saturday, November 14

Saturday, November 14, 2026 · 9:00am–4:00pm
Memorial Hall, Trinity Lutheran Church (TLC)
15 Randolph Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21740

There is FREE parking in the church lot located behind TLC, off of Randolph Ave. After parking, walk up the Randolph Ave sidewalk until you can turn left onto the Potomac Street sidewalk. Memorial Hall is accessed through the red door to the right of TLC’s main double door entrance on N. Potomac Street. Look for the “Tutor Training” sign!

Attendees should pack a lunch. A refrigerator and microwave will be available for use. Snacks are provided.

Can’t make it in person? Zoom training is also available through Frederick County on Tuesday, December 1; Thursday, December 3; and Tuesday, December 8, 2026.

Refugee Welcome Network

Supports refugees resettling in Washington County with community, housing, and transition assistance. Run by the Hagerstown Area Religious Council.

GED & Adult Education Pathways

When a student is ready to work toward a GED or high school equivalency diploma, these local programs are the next step.
